  Welcome
Informality and open communications are important aspects in the famed HP Way of managing. Entity activities for employees are encouraged and promoted so that employees can share information, recognize achievement, and interact with fellow employees on an informal basis.

Recreational activities have proven valuable in aiding employees to become better acquainted and enjoy group participation and teamwork. Intramural activities, such as softball, volleyball, bowling, etc. are especially encouraged.

Program Highlights and Information

Important Notice Regarding Teams & Leagues:
As HP increases its focus on achieving a simpler operating model and a more competitive cost structure, we must dedicate resources to activities and programs that drive the greatest value for HP and our employees. This requires some difficult decisions and a focus on streamlining certain services we currently offer to employees.

As part of this process, HP will no longer offer direct funding or subsidies for employee leagues and teams. This change is effective immediately, and we wanted to make sure you were aware prior to beginning to organize returning leagues and teams.

To the extent leagues can replace HP funding with other financial resources, leagues are  welcome to continue to operate even though direct HP funding for league expenses can no longer be supported in the context of a streamlined operating model. In cases where the operators of a field, gym or other sports facility require a Certificate of Insurance before permitting a league to use the facility, certificates will continue to be available from HP through Global Risk Management.  All participants will still be asked to sign the Release for Recreational Activity found at  http://ep.corp.hp.com/policies.html.

Discontinuing direct financial support for employee leagues is a difficult decision, and HP understands that these changes may impact employees.
